Robert, in the last pic you posted, are your shoes quite so red, or is it just the picture? I've seen late roman shoes in red quite a bit before but none quite so vibrant as yours!

It's the picture. My shoes are indeed red, but rather a dull red and not as fluorescent purple as these!

With a special exhibition and with the original elements of the Stillfried Segmentata hock:
The elements are now in the depot in Hainburg
And 2009 we can take measurements.... D D
