I ran into (not literally) a boy named Demetrius today. Actually, I've encountered a few little Demetriuses (or Demetrii?). I think that name is making a comeback. Greek origin, meaning "follower of Demeter" or "Earth mother"... :?:

In the RMRS we have a number of Marks, as well as two Helens, one Julian and one Adrian. Oh - and at least one Paul as well  . We used to have a Julia too. In addition to that three members or former members have sons named Marcus, one has sons called Alexander and Sebastian and my own son is called Alexander. In addition to that three of my nieces have Ellen as one of their middle names and I have a nephew called Luke, as well as a sister in law called Pauline I also used to work with a chap called Claude and have known more Philips than I care to remember.

Two little boys here in my area are named Valerius...very cool name. It means "valor." I think the parents just liked the sound of the name because they didn't seem particularly interested in the meaning of the name. I am a geek in that I like to know the meaning of everyone's names...but I have to remember that not everyone shares that interest.

It seems Muhammar Qadafi has a son named Hannibal. Named for a local boy who made good, I guess.
