Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Merlot in one hand, Cigar in the other; body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO, what a ride!

Thank you very much!
Mods, is there anyway this can be made a sticky or some other easy to locate thread? Seems an excellent resource!

I've been happily using Ed Donnelly's DownLoebables web site -- even passed on a few of his internet-archive links here, over the years. Now we just need someone to list them in alphabetical order, rather than in Loeb order!

Just tried his version of Caesar's Gallic War. (I'm interested in the Rhine bridge at the moment: BGall. IV.17.)

Quote:What in the world is that? Someone turning pages? It's Google's tame helper octopus, in charge of the scanner again! (To be fair, there's a fold-out on the following page, which -- judging by the state of the scan -- has already been chewed up by the machine. It's understandable that they should send in the octopus.)
