Isn't that the way it should be? I mostly see re-enactors with long tunic, not to mention this one:

Hi, the "sexy vexillarius" it's me!
Thank you, guys, we must to improve yet a lot of things and, by the way, Aureliane, if you take a look on the evidences for our period, will notice that tunics aren't that long.

Yes, Byron, Munatio - Pierpaolo is with us! Pierpaolo made all of our Gladii Hispanienses, I'll show you these beauties on the gladii thread into the reenactment & reconstruction section soon.
Look back at the photo: Pierpaolo is the first in the left line; you can recognize his wonderful Delos sword.

Avete!
Here are some photos of me. You can see me as a centurio from the end of the first century AD.
Standing in front of an inn:
Here I'm commanding our auxiliary troops:
Sad after a lost battle
I have to say the event was a bit rainy, you can see that on our boots. 8)

2 questions Radka,
why didn't you close your helmet. That would look much better. And why do you use a parma, and not a normal one, like your soldiers. Any (historical) reason for that?
But in general I must admit it's a nice impression!

AVE,
About my helmet: It was really rainy day, so my face piece wadding was quite wet... I know that closed helmet looks better than opened, but it was really uncomfortable  I will correct myself :-) -) )
about my shield: Well, I know that we have no evidence that a centurion could have a parma shield. I have not seen it anywhere - I mean on reliefs, statues, tomb stones etc, but I had not my scutum ready yet :-( -) )
vale and best regards :-) )
