Just to let you know, there is a small group of us appearing at the reconstructed Saxon Village of West Stow in Suffolk, UK. Ok so the village itself is a bit later but we'll be giving a general display of the lifestyle of the Romans with one of the chaps bringing his horse along and using his Late Roman archer gear.
I'll be in one of the huts with the mosaic demonstration, I'll just have to keep explainig that the mosaics were from the villas and not put anywhere near wooden huts :wink:
There have been a lot of Roman finds in the area including quite a number of pieces of Samianware, and would you belive it! I'll have a selection of my reproduction pieces with me, so if you're interested in any come on down and have a chat.
