I just got the catalog today.....I can think of other items to burn cash on! I am re-working a Pompeii that a friend gave me, I will post pics when I am closer to completion and a little more confident!! lol

You should check with them- a mainzensis blade should be on the order of 3" wide at the guard end- any narrower and it's not one of the 'usual' forms. There is a waisted narrow blade sword at Carnuntum, but it's suggested to be an auxiliary weapon (I believe because it was found with grave goods that weren't Roman?) and thus only a Roman-style sword, not a true 'gladius' as it were. That one's about 55mm wide at the guard (2 1/4" or so).
