Gallic A from Lonely Mountain Forge
#1
Ave,

Yesterday I received my Gallic A from Joe Piela (Lonely Mountain Forge). I asked Joe to copy the Gallic A from the ex-Guttman collection, down to the tinning application.

Joe outdid himself! The helmet is very well made and the tinning looks great, near matching the tinning on the Guttman helmet. I opted for the welded pieced helmet. You can't see any of the welds and the workmanship is top notch. The fit with my homemade lining is perfect.

The delivery time for this helmet was slightly less than a year, which is average for Joes work. For a custom helmet you can't go wrong with Joe!

Price for the helmet was $500.00 and $200.00 extra for the hand applied tinning.

As soon as I can get some batteries for my camera I'll post some pics! Adrian, it was styled from this Gallic helmet from the Guttman collection...
