Salve,
I'm very impressed with the work you have done so far,
I too have started making one, the intention is to use it in our Senators tent display when we do public display, however after seeing the quality of your work, I think I will have to do some extra work on mine.
I cant wait to see the finished unit.

Nice work.

Actually the back isn't attached to the building right now. I only placed it behind it for that photo. Big Grin

Well I like it, and speaking of faults; an other big fault is that this lararium is not made of stone, so this lararium is not authentic, but quite a lot easier to transport.

Two wooden ones are reported from Herculaneum / Pompei in a recent book on Roman furniture. ( Which someone borrowed from my desk already!) :evil:

No new pictures by now, but I would let you know that there is some major progress.

Because I was not satisfied with my own painting skills I've asked a professional painter who already did some fresco's for the Museumpark Orientalis, to paint it for me. He hopes to finish it in about a month, so new pictures of the painting are on their way!
