One month in RAT...

.....Aw, Marcus, shame you decided to delete the bulk of your post....I did say 'sail close to the wind', not 'step over the mark'! You should consider restoring it!

Quote:PS why is slavery so bad? (HAHAHAHAHAHA here we go again)
..doubtless debated before, but I am of the view that we see the word 'slave' too emotively, thanks to more recent slavery in the new world, and if we equate 'freedom' with 'freedom of choice', when allowing for the different societies, there was not so many differences between 'slaves' in general in Roman Society and workers in our own.

Our idea that we have political'democracy' is a myth for example, with our political systems( at least in the Anglo world) having a lot more in common with the politics of the Roman Republic than most people realise....

I know i probably didnt step over the mark hehehehe however i cannot reproduce my rant that easily!...

basically i said something like vulgarity is useful, Christianity should be abolished and we should revert back to our ancient Roman gods/religio and then i ranted on about how present day society has been an insult to Roman virtue ever since the traitors Theodosius and Constantine betrayed the foundation of Rome itself......

or something like that hahahahahaha

anyway i do agree with your "republican view"

Quote:BTW: wasnt Ho Ho Ho outlawed in OZ recently?

...I forgot to reply to this ! The politically correct in the vast stores who train up the various store Santa's ( now dressed in the totally commercial Coca Cola red-and-white outfit BTW, - bring back Father Christmas/Saint Nicholas in his traditional long green gown, I say! Smile lol:  )... decided that loud HO! HO! HO!'s are frightening for young children, and would also lead to sniggering among their elder siblings, being how "Ho" has become a by-word for whores/sluts/sex-workers thanks to 'Rap culture'.......

This has led to incredulity and much indignation among the community at large, and it remains to be seen whether this year's Store Santa's will revert to a softer chuckle, and Ha,ha,ha!........

You're all nuts, the lot of ya! Confusedhock:

I do agree though, I've been reading so many threads (understanding about a third!) and it is a great message board. Plus I've been given two Laudes which is fab considering I've contributed nothing  So thank you whoever that was!
