Posting photos on RAT
#1
Some of the photos that we post here are enormous, particularly if they're taken with a high-definition digital camera.

One of the threads (www.romanarmy.com/rat/viewtopic.php?p=169541#169541) is apparently maxed out on photos and won't take any more!

It occurred to me that RAT-users might find Picnik useful -- it's an on-line photo editing utility (www.picnik.com).
You don't need to register to use it, and it doesn't store photos on-line. All it does is upload your photo for editing -- resize, crop, frame, etc. -- and download it to your computer again. (Just remember to give it a new name, or it'll over-write your original!!)

Might be useful?

Or get Ez Thumbnails, a little freeware program that can easily resize any image file.
Greets!

Yep, or Irfan View, which can open all sorts of graphic and video files, and it's free, too. www.irfanview.com gets you the info. I agree to the "some pictures are huge" problem...I generally can only get on with a dialup. Sigh.
