Hello!
I've been thinking about getting into Reenacting for a long time. My original interest was in World War 2 Reenacting, I'm a big World War 2 Buff, but the sheer cost both short term and long term of WW2 Reenacting is keeping me away for now.
I'm also a big Roman military buff, and the fact that you do not have to worry about buying blanks all the time with Roman reenacting  is making this hobby an attractive one in more ways than one. It just seems better as a long term reenacting.
Plus, who can beat glorious Roman armor?
Though, straight to the point.
I've found maybe one or two groups that are in Ohio, I emailed one that is based Ohio, but the last time his site was updated was 2005...I emailed him sometime last year and I never got a response.
I also saw one that was really quite local- Canton, but their website no longer exists.
If someone could help me out and point me in the direction of a group, that would be fantastic. I'm also curious about any events in the area. I am aware of the Reenacting Days coming up in Gettysburg, but I just found out about that so it's short notice, so sadly I will not be able to attend this year.
So, right now, I'm starting from the ground up. I'm thinking finding a group and getting in contact with them will be the foundation in which to grow my Roman soldier impression from.
Thank you all in advance!
