Scutum Water Proofing

Anyone have any experience using rosin, beeswax and turpentine* to create a water proofing for scutums?

Garrelt,

The oil and wax and turpentine works good doesn't it?

But, have you tried adding rosin ? Stone dust too, but it can make the mix a little cloudy.... super hard, but cloudy... perhaps better as a furniture finish.

Yes the furniture polish did what i hoped i would do.
Sealing the glue from moisture, took a few days before the smell of the turpentine disappeard.

No, didn't try that

I started, just for testing, whith an of the shelf product.
This because i saw my black shield turning white from slowly desolving ,none waterproof, woodglue in a snow shower last easter.
