I think this is about the Varus army which the German children's show "Die Sendung mit der Maus“ put together in 2005. Armin Maiwald and his team put together 16.000 toy figures to show what the army column looked like.

Now that is impressive.

However you need a military budget like the Pentagon's to afford all the parts and pieces to assemble such a host.

We gave our grandson the Playmobil Roman Galley and some additional troops -- a very modest start compared to the Legion seen above. I'm sure he would love to have his own Legion, but I doubt my wallet could withstand the pain. Cry :oops: :?

Ladies & Gentlemen, on this issue I think I have you beat so to speak.

My grandson Kalani is just now seven years old and when we are not marshaling his Jedi knights and Clone Troopers to battle the Sith we are putting to sea with his Playmobil Roman galley complete with centurions, archers, signifers and of course legionieres.

Oh, and I was born in 1955.

Too old? -- NEVER!
