They stole my idea!
I just got a bunch of these things myself. I have yet to start playing with most of them but it is like christmas, birthday, and sickdays rolled into one. I love these things!!

@Vortigern: Imagine, you just put the last soldier on his place, and then there is an earthquake.

Does anyone know where they got the donkies and luggage saddles in those pictures. I looked on the playmobil site with no luck.
I would like to do a century for demonstrations.

Greetings JBD
Check out the youtube videos at the start of this thread.
They hand made the tent rolls and just ordered the animals and soldiers in massive quantities assembling themselves.
An amazing amount of work.
A legion is certainly beyond my defense budget, but a Century...hmmm.. that's a good idea.
Good luck!

Even considering that it's Playmobil, the auxiliary in the artillery has recognizable caligae on. There is a blue sort of auxiliary with a scorpion shield, as well as Gauls, a Roman family, and more I have only seen in the catalog. I picked up a Cleopatra Egyptian for the fun of it.

Told the kids that I need grandchildren quickly, and a good bank overdraft facility.

Throw caution and control to the winds my friend.
As the Emperor Palpatine said, "You want these don't you...?"
Besides, don't you really want to command your own Century?
Cohort?
Legion??

Ah yes, I imagine so.
This is one of the joys of having a grandson...living it all again, only this time with money.
Well, I don't have a military budget large enough to afford a legion, or even a cohort, but a century...hmmmm...if I eat crackers & water at lunch for the next few months...
