We are organising this european meeting in Nasium (Meuse, Lorraine, France) on the 14th and 15th of June 2008.

We are looking for roman legionaries (Preferably 1st century AC but other periods may interest us as well). Fifty-five legionaries have already registered for this event (and 70 Celtic warriors...) .

It would be a great honor for us if you would accept to take part in this meeting.

The event begins on saturday (at noon) and ends on sunday at 6 PM.

You are expexted to perform on saturday and sunday afternoons. However, it would be very interesting if you would also accept to perform with other reenactors, roman and celts, during those days.

The reenactment groups come from france, italia, germany . We have organised such a meeting last year in Grand : reenactors first showed what they were used to do in this type of meetings (gladiators, pedagogical explanations about equipments, people life, battles... , celtic cavalery etc) , and they also accepted to work together to "simulate" battles (Celts against Romans).

The show will be open to the public. If you wish, you can sell things you've produced. We won't ask you a part of your benefits.

Reenactors are asked to spend the night in their own tents (we cannot afford to pay for hotel accommodations.)

We offer you the meals from the friday evening until the sunday.

Please, send me an estimate (this Email : [email protected] ) in which should be mentionned :
- the name and adress of your association
- the name of the person in charge of the organisation (Association La Cité des Leuques / 35, Grande Rue / 55 500 Saint Amand sur Ornain)
- The global amount of your expense (in Euros).
- The number of people involved
- The detail of what you can show to the public during those days

Your estimate should reach me before the 30th of March. But the faster, the better

Best regards

Arnaud Jacquemot

New troops to join us:

Their website:
[url:2fer0gih]http://gaulois.trimatrici.over-blog.com[/url]

How they present themselves:
The name "Trimatrici" is built on the contraction of Triboci and Mediomatrici, 2 Celtic tribes who occupied the Bas-Rhin at the time of the war of Gaul. The group intends to represent Celts of this period.

Their website:

How they present themselves:
Group of Celts from Munchen, HHGM.
The sources for their costumes, their tools and weapons are the texts of ancient authors and archaeological reports that are available on this subject. Of course, the archeological finds are also used as models for equipment which, by the way, is created by these reconstituteurs.
