New Example of Lorica Plumata Found Today!
#16
A bud of mine and myself are currently making a plumata shirt (still). We had a bad time trying to get the rivet into the hole as we were using a .5mm copper wire cut to maybe 1mm to 1.5mm long. On accident I came up with a way thats actually pretty easy to do it. Instead of cutting and trying to place the rivet into the punched hole, I stuck one end of an 8" section of wire in, took the wire nippers and clipped as close as I could to both sides of the ring. It was then no problem crimping the rivets and they are quite strong despite the small size. Once ya get the hang of it, it goes supprisingly fast.<br>
