How about Libi (tina)
For a more serious suggestion I like browsing godchecker.com when I need to name something. It's a light hearted site but packed with names of Gods and Goddesses.

I was going to suggest you contact AuxArcher his Pug's name is Davenport, but I think Renius has a winner there. Although wouldn't it Pugia?

Well...Theres Cybil (Cybele), Aestas Goddess of Summer, Diana the Huntress, Fortuna, Juno, Minerva, Pomona, Venus, Vesta.....I need to look in my wifes mythology book to find more.....
I have a really lazy Beagle named Riley...my kids call her Riley-girl, everyone that see's a Beagle automatically thinks she's a male. But that really doesnt help you on your name quest.....

In my humble opinion, dogs should be given mulit-syllable names to quickly differentiate their name from commands which tend to be one-syllable. Sit, stay, come, etc in English. BTW is this true for other languages spoken here on RAT?
Therefore, I suggest, in no particular order:
Arria
Atia
Claudia
Didyme
Flavia
Gnome
Italia
Julia
Lalla
Melino
Musa
Olympia
Panthia
Roma
Sabina
Tertia
Urbana
Ursella
It also may be a Roman thing to name a DOG after your enemy or defeated enemy.
There is always the classic greek canine name of Fido.

I've got pictures of two original Roman dog tags but since I don't read Latin, I don't know if they actually have the dog's name on it, or are just a 'This dog belongs to...' kind of text. If you can find someone to translate, I can send you the pics Jef- it'd be cool to have a real Roman dog name

Kind regards

My cousin had an Akita...they named him Kuma, which was Eskimo for Bear.....
And now for the bad joke:
I once had a dog with no legs, we named him cigarette, since we had to take him for a drag......
