These two amigos are in the centre Billy Heyward and on the right Terry Boniface. The founder members of the American civil War society in the UK which began around 1965. As with most groups politics crept in and they split to form SOSKAN. The southern skirmishers association. Billy died this year aged 71 of the big C. He had full military honours, gun carriage and honour guard of guys in civil war uniforms and a volley fired over his casket. Old Billy would have loved it.

Have you ever heard of N.A.S.A- Northern Artillery Skirmish Association ?
My two uncles were active members back in the 1980s. I attended a few events with them when I was a nipper :lol:
