Legio IX Hispana will be on display at the San Diego Natural History Museum in historic Balboa Park (site of the 1915 Panama-California Exposition) - in conjunction with the 'A day in Pompeii' exhibit that has been touring North America
IX Hispana will be doing a variety of demonstrations on a various dates - schedule will be posted here as dates are confirmed.

Do you think the Museum would be intersted in having a Roman vendor on one of the days that you guys are planning to do demos? We've done a couple of those type of events for this same exhibit in Mobile and will be doing one in Charlotte, NC. Do you think it would be a good idea? Is there a particular person to talk to at the Natural History Museum to see if they may be interested?
We've got relatives in Calif. It will give us an excuse to visit and pay for the trip.

Well, so far it's been a very rewarding event.
We've had at least two soldiers in attendance each weekend day
As a result we've scheduled several school visitations.. elementary, Mid School, HS, Comm College, as well as UC and CSU.. several media interviews... met folk from all over.. SCA friends, some old time SCAers from year 7.. wow!... folks from Brigantia in the UK.. other reenactors.. even the 501st Legion...
Sunday the 20th was rather spectacular.. it was Earth Day in San Diego.. Balboa Park had tens of thousands of visitors... talked ourselves hoarse! A gajillion photos taken...
