It was just like normal. We sent a highly trained Comitatus to serve alongside Germans, this time in the Union army. They were beaten by barbarians who could barely read and write, with no sense of uniform, this time known as the Confederate army. But our members enjoyed the experience, and the American Civil War Society were very kind to allow us to take part.
I called in on your campsite but it was deserted. Perhaps you were off hitting each other in the arena.
When I wasn't getting equipment to and from the arena for the Comitatus display, I was co-ordinating and commentating for the "Artillery through the Ages" display. That was an exciting experience. Rockets flying over the crowd, guns not going off, broken ballista mechanisms etc etc .
But I enjoyed the weekend far more than I was expecting. Sorry I made your eldest cry.

? Think my toddler would have been up for it though, she's pretty handy with a sword and has one hell of a battlecry!
Anyhoo, yeah we were possibly all bashing each other when you came to our LH camp. They mustered at lunchtime and then post-battle they mostly like to pose, do pics and chat with the public so gone for a while.
I'm just resisting temptation to join the Wyoming Wild Bunch
Give us a shout when your pics are up

I prefer to think of us as structure re-use and acquisition specialists

One o'clock in the afternoon, and they were already blind drunk!

Visne partem mei capere? Comminus agamus! * Me semper rogo, Quid faceret Iulius Caesar? * Confidence is a good thing! Overconfidence is too much of a good thing.

Not sure I fully get why anyone would pay to own a volatile, hormonal, logic-free woman
