Picture of Pudens and myself (thanks Peronis!) at Chalfont St Giles on Saturday. I'd just been shooting my bow- hence the leather bracer- in possibly the most inaccurate shooting known to the re-enactment world.....

And as to the artillery - to shoot a bolt through an iron scutum boss with a bolt that then protruded over a foot behind....that would have ruined a legionary's day! Big Grin

Wish I had made it to the BM this weekend, but went earlier in the week,
then went to Wroxeter to help Murry out last weekend. Amazing site, with plenty of XIIIIth connections.

Well lets hope the turnout is better all around for that show.
I am hoping to get the weekend off for it. If we are still in the office that is. Otherwise it will be a definate no-go.
