Tabella defixionum
#1
I have made a copy of the tabella defixionum of Hadrumentum (Liby?)

It's a lead table with some malediction formulary, with the letters inscribed with an iron tool.

Looks great. Lauds Big Grin
Where did you get the lead from? I am looking into making the Roman version of the 'dog tag'. I read it was a lead tablet that was carried in a small leather pouch around the neck. Not sure what would be inscribed on it though... :? ?:

Looks good!

The jackal-headed figure looks a bit like one of the Simpsons, though...

:?: Is this another form of curse tablet? If so, who's wall are you going to attach it to?

This is a fairly typical curse tablet -- what other form are you thinking of? Rather than being attached to a wall, they were thrown in sewers, graves (as in this case), holes in the ground -- to get them to the attention of the appropriate underworld deities.

Cesar,

Would it be possible for you to provide a close up of the tablet or a drawing?...

I did find this interesting link though...
