How many Gladiator schools are there at the moment?

Having seen all of the nice and awesome pictures of various people Gladiating on another thread, I was wondering how many different schools there are out there in Europe and also Worldwide.

If we all add our particular groups to this list then it may be easier for everyone to keep in touch, pass on tips etc. via this website and may prove to be a useful tool for us all.

I'll start it off, so anyone who adds to the list, if you copy and paste it then add your group to it then we should see an evergrowing list unfurl before our eyes.

good idea, so Ill make a start.
I am a member of a school based in the Cologne/Bonn Region of North Rhine Westphalia.
Our summer outdoor training is in the Amphitheatre of the Archiological Park Xanten and in the Rheinhaue in Bonn.

From 2003 until this year we were a projekt under the Legio Prima Group.

On the well know Römerfest at Augst/Switzerland we are present each year with the gladiator school for children.

Gladiator School LVDVS NEMESIS was founded in mid-2006 in Hamburg (North Germany) and has also members in Güstrow (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, North-East Germany) and Blieskastel (Saarland, South-West Germany). Due to being spread all over Germany we organize also training camps where we meet for a weekend to train and discuss etc.

Our website www.ludus-nemesis.eu is available in most sections also in English and French, pictures and videos of our first gig only in the German version under "Galerie" second page. Still need to translate and then dump everything onto our webmaster :lol:

We still do gladiatorial events, but the older UK Ludus Gladiatorius has rebranded under Deeds of Arms. So I guess we still count www.deeds-of-arms.org.uk

Gladiator training is a part of our normal training program, next to free/show/stage fight early medieval style.

We are working on Lvdvs Gladiatorii Gvnsvla as a part of our Roman display within Teuxandrii.

Collegium Gladiatorium Hungary is active as it was in the last 14 years.
So we have 2 trainings a week and training camps in every summer. Some of you hopefully will meet us in Bulgaria / Shishtov at end of June.

The very small (about 6 people strong) Ludus Gladiatorum Australis is performing intermittantly in the southeastern United States. Next show in September in North Carolina.

Also Christian Koepfer is in an Retia/Augsburg area based group.

I also know of a new Belgian group. The leader is on RAT, if I'm right, but I dont know their name.

Do you mean the Legio V Alaudae from Belgium who where training with the "evil twins", those two blond guys who also walked around ACW kit, last weekend?
It showed that , "the evil twins" ,have picked up some of the things I showed them 2 years back during Historia Mundi.
But as always I see things that can be improved.

I don't mean the Legio V Alaudae, but some other real gladiator group. The founder joined RAT some months ago, if I'm right. (I remember something from the 'new recruits' section about this.
