After years and years, we finally managed to get Mr. Oorthuys into re-enacting gear!

You may recognise several others from this forum, such as the members of Corbvlo; Cordvs, Jurjenius and Tiberius. Robert Wimmers was also present, plus myself in early gear.

Fierce action in front of the camera! The same network that did an episode about the batavian insurrection of 69 AD this spring did another, but for a different series.
Then we had an accident; Gerard (Civilis) had a nasty fall during a charge, but it looks he got away with a nasty sprained leg muscle.. Cry

Ow, Jona, we can change that for you. We still need someone to do a building sacrifice for the Kops Plateau building on August the 16th... Big Grin

Ow, and I don't think we can count Jasper as a re-enactor, as it still will be hard to get him into period clothing again, I guess.

just as a sneak preview. The shield Gerard uses is the first shield I completed. (and I see I still have much to improve on my painting skills). Still having 5 shield blanks awaiting finishing at my workshop.

Could well be. Even Coulston and I got dressed up for a video made for the Gateshead Garden Festival many years ago (in the early days of Quinta). Not a lot of people know that (although plenty saw the video ;-)
