I have not read that book, but Vesta Sakhosh Curtis knows what she's talking about.

If you are familiar with other volumes of "The Idea of Iran" you would know what to expect - good scholarity but no revolutions. Books of this series need to be bought second hand or at bargain as normally they are no good value for money.
