Look:
The Thumb is the opposable digit.
The Index finger is by definition next to the thumb.
The pinky is by definition the last finger.
The middle finger is in the middle. Not really a problem since there are only 3 real fingers. And besides the loss of the middle finger would render non-verbal communication problematic.
Therefore the conclusion is obvious. There is NO ring finger. And therefore muppets should not be allowed to wear rings. And therefore should not be allowed to get married.
I do NOT support extending the definition of marriage to muppets.
