Places to stay in Bonn

As I find myself with a few days free in November and finding that the price of flights from Bristol to Bonn are ridiculously cheap via Schipol, I thought I might treat myself to a trip to see the 'Rome and the Barbarians' exhibition (and take in the one on the Langobards at the Rheinisches LandesMuseum at the same time). Thinking of staying for 2 nights but the price of accomodation at the few hotels I've looked at so far would be more than the cost of the airfare.

Not looking for luxury, just somewhere to lay my head and get a decent breakfast for a couple of nights. Anyone with any local knowledge got any suggestions?
