Last night I had a pretty good dream.
There were at least four centuries of republican era troops on the field, manouvering with more or less precision. I was enjoying the spectale, then some bossy officer type instructed me to join the ranks...
On the long way around to gather my scutum, there were two Germanics in the back rank of the left century, in good kit.
I for some reason called them Cherusci?
They had subian type knots.
