[Hibernicus]

In Legio IX Hispana noncombat activities are equal in importance with combat activities such as marching drills, combat practices and simulated combat. To that end each member is encouraged to learn one or more noncombat skills such as entrenchment skills, assorted woodworking skills, surveying, engineering, shoemaking and other leather working skills etc. In addition all soldiers must learn to bake bread, make armor, sew etc

What follows are some skills that Agricola is working on... FISHING

Agricola did no actual fishing, just tested the equipment. We'll be fishing soon and are working on the right set of permits to use a net under the right circumstnaces.. California is a unique place for many reasons!

In montana you just go to Wal-Mart or wherever and buy a liscense. Just about everything in California has regulations and warnings all over them. Search the internet to buy knives and tons say "No shipping to California". I like Montana for letting us do and buy what we want (within reason). Having a legion here would make hunting and fishing much easier. See a rabbit? Have a bow? Shoot, simmer, and serve.

I like that! We get our rabbit at a shop named Iowa Meats... alongside ostrich and water buffalo... duck and goose... pre-ordered a Holiday Goose weeks and weeks ago.

we shoot goose here to. I personally have never gotten to shoot much more than targets, I've never had luck hunting deer and never tried anything else. Some people near where I live raise ostrich, and we have American Buffalo (not quite authentic, but it tastes good )
I wonder how legal it is to sell hunted game?

Same meat shop sells fresh ground American Bison, seems ground sells better than steaks.. best burgers though!
