About the Erdkamp thesis, I read a him article about the (+ or -) same argument in mnemosyne. I'm in accord about the fact that probably we have the same hand back some Livy battle narrative in some passage of punic and after-punic phase. I'm not in accord over the fact they are not valid passage; the battles is probably fictional but the literary reconstruction follow a schema and a time modification, so a i think they are copied from some previous models (II bc?).
