Signed up to RAT today so i thought i'd say hello.

My name is Joe and i'm currently studying for a degree in archaeology and ancient history. With any luch an MA and PhD will follow. I'm especially interested in the social changes of the army of the Late Republic, as well as the evidence for brutality commited by Roman soldiers on noncombatants - happy stuff!

Welcome on board, Joe. I think that you will find this to be an interesting forum. Where are you studying archaeology? Many years ago I pursued a Graduate Certificate in MesoAmerican Archaeology at the Universidad Veracruzana, Mexico.

Hi Iosephus,
I'm studying at the University of Leicester in England at the moment. I am more into the ancient history side really, and especially military history. It's a great place to be, and the only in Uni in Britain offering a module on warfare and violence; which was fascinating!
