Roman Senate Sim
#1
I am beta testing a Roman Senate Simulator that I created over the past few months. It uses proprietary forum software that I modified to allow for some level of scenario automation. Not super high tech since it is a forum based game. However it does allow for automated stat tracking, a basic Roman economy that can be modified via Senate legislation, and even a simple, yet interesting combat/contest system. Warning: Although we draw our inspiration from history, we focus on fun over historical exactness. If you're interested in the politics of Rome you may be interested in this Sim.

PM me if interested and I'll give you more info. Smile

Quick update - We now have 15 members and the Beta is moving along well.

The Roman Senate Sim is going strong. We have a number of dedicated members now and the game appears to be proving quite fun for those involved. It only takes a few minutes several times a week to take part. Come check us out.

Roman Senate Simulator can now be downloaded on Sourceforge.net. We've open sourced it. It's still in pre-alpha however, so not recommending you jump on it unless you're a system administrator or a major php enthusiast.

here's the sourceforge link: [url:30eza7m6]https://sourceforge.net/projects/romanforumsimul/ That's the download page. It's a pre-alpha release candidate which means it's not 100% on the planned features. however it is playable.

You can still check out the current build in action at: [url:30eza7m6]http://www.brunorotk.com. There are a number of features that have been added since my last post here including an easier registration experience. You don't have to wait for an admin or an email to activate your registration. Just login and go.

We're also working on filling out a Wiki for players. So there's a lot of activity going on and we hope you'll all come and join us.
