Well, if good old Plato himself says so, when it must be true!

However, didnt the real Plato speak of a circular arrangement?

Nonetheless that seems to be an interesting geological formation. But I remember they found something similiar some years back off the coast of Japan and it was natural.

Hmmm

Looks more like an outline of a Roman fort to me

I'm surprised they haven't found a "face" on it yet like that rock formation on Mars.

Errr...:
Quote:Its a series of "seams" in the topographic scans where areas are being tiled together. These are not photos of the ocean floor but cgi interpretations of data gathered by satellite. they make passes over areas like we would mow the lawn. where the passes over lap or are peiced together you have a slightly darker line in the texture map which is interpreted as a slightly deeper channel in the earths surface. look at the coast of californa right off of holly wood. there are very long equidistant lines. SO are they man made? yes. Are they on the ocean floor? no.

The refutation is here:
Quote:a Google spokeswoman said the grid lines on the image, which the original British viewer described as resembling a "man-made aerial map," were caused by thin bands of sonar data collected by boats while mapping the bottom of the ocean

ah, I thought it was something like this ... : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIu2rA0yd9s
amazing underwater shots start at about 4:30
Though they say in this video it could be man-made, it seems to be consensus now its natural.

It seems these lines are "ships tracks" as mentioned above.
