Hello all,just introducing myself,my real name is Graeme Weeks(re-enactment name to follow!) along with a couple of friends we have started a new re-enactment group portraying Legio XX in the North of Ireland based in Belfast,I'll admit to lurking here for a long while before I posted this to learn a lot from searches etc, and we're also getting a lot of help and advice from Nerva on this forum which we really appreciate,very daunting starting this off but we have all re-enacted other periods for a number of years,but the chance to re-enact what we REALLY wanted to never came about untill now.

Welcome to the forum, and glad to have you aboard. Most of the denizens here are pretty friendly. Take good advantage of the search function, and see if you can track down your answers, and that will make the grumpy ones more happy with you. Take your caligae off and enjoy yourself. Welcome to RAT! This website is the dog's b*ll*x for information - there's practically nothing you can't find out about the Romans here. Or get an opinion from someone anyway! hock: Great to know that a reenactment group is starting up in Norn Iron as well as Nerva's brave band. Wish there'd been groups like ye when I still lived at home (I'm from Co. Louth but lived in Fermanagh and Armagh for a couple of years).
