Pictures of roman ship replica\'s
#1
In order to improve my depiction of the roman river cargo ship, I am looking for pictures of replica's of roman vessels... (all kinds)
link from old RAT

I know the maritiem museum at mainz has some very good (livesize) replica's, is there anyone who has some pictures from there that I may use??? I am espesialy interrested in all kinds of details like the rig configuration and those wooden pulleys...

I may have some different angles of the ship models from the Mainz museum, contact me via email, if you need to.

Hopefully this does not cause any unnecessary problems, but some of us (or at least I  ) would like to see the pictures too. If you just email them privately we can't take a look. Can't you post a few of them here? Unfortunately I'm not building anything of the sort, but I do like to see what others are doing! I think it's quite fascinating.

Yeah, they have a lot lovely models there. Hope the 1:1 version they are building in Millingen (NL) will as nice as the 2 big ones from Mainz. RGZM Museum des antike Schifffarht realy is the place to be if you're interested in Roman ship construction.
