I remember seeing the adds when I was home in the Spring. It's only an hours drive from where my parents live.
The posters had soldiers in early imperial kit on the front tho'!

Wrong helmets, wrong dress, nails through the hands in stead of the wrists, body not crushed to the side, no nails through the ankles........
but its a passion play, which is far more important.

And they have done a big job on the scenery. Looks like an impressive stage.

As for me, it would be nice to do some kind of production that had a budget, and a place to build a permanent set. I begin to favor the format that allows the audience to move through the set/town, as if they were residents, encountering bits of the dialog as if first hand, with actors sometimes engaging the audience in the first person. Not like "theatre in the round", but "theatre around you". Instead of scene changes, the audience is ushered into the next part of the set.
I'll get on that as soon as I win the lottery.
This play in Canada looks very well produced, though, and very well run. I'd like to see a video. Might just order one from them, if it's available in US format.

I ordered the animation video this year of the Jesus story, one of the best ever. the miracle maker.
They get it spot on, also where the armour is concerned.
