Pergola Praetorian
#1
There’s an interesting gravestone of a praetorian guardsman at the Museo dei Bronzi Dorati at Pergola. The lower portion shows the head and shoulders of the praetorian, as well as his weighted pilum and plumed helmet. A small pic of the gravestone can be found in Supplementa Italica 18 (2000), p. 363. There’s also a wee pic on the museum’s website:

Does anyone have a pic of the gravestone, showing the praetorian and his equipment in better detail?

Cheers,

R!
