Standard \'grips\'
#1
I hate to have to ask this but I haven't a clue what they are called, or even if they are available for purchase. The closest I've come is plumbing handles and none of them are large enough..at least the ones I've found.

I'm speaking of the 'grips' used to pull the standards from the ground or plant them. Are they made by whomever is building the standard? Do they have a proper name? Not knowing what they are termed is probably why I'm having trouble finding them.

Yeah, I should know, but I don't. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

You can take a look at George Metz's Legion XXIV website for photographs of signa/aquila, etc. There will be a section for information on the Signum, etc. Two or three of the photos, two from sites in Germany and one of his own unit's signum show hand grips. His email contact address is also there and you can contact him about how he made his hand grip. He is in the greater Philadelphia, PA area.
