Usually I steer new folks towards Peter Connolly first. Other great authors are Goldsworthy, Peddie, Keppie. Dan Peterson's book is readily available, but unfortunately Bishop and Coulston, and of course Robinson, is not. Much of the Legio XX list is focused on hardware rather than tactics or anything else, but it's a good start.<br>
