Roma Surrectum II - Coming soon!
#1
I'm sure some of you might be aware that there will soon be a free mod available to RTW (possibly even in a few days, but no-one's really sure when the release date is). But for those of you who aren't aware, here are some videos/trailers/teasers and photographs to show you how good this mod looks!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wISXDn8qyiY - The Roman Legions.

Teaser 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oM07-E7JjU

Teaser 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNC5qzj4p6w

Teaser 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=st9OZ0H_ ... re=related

Teaser 4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPyA80fdFn4

You can keep updated on what's going on by visiting the TW Centre and checking out the Roma Surrectum forum.

I hope this will fix some of the bugs in the last version??

I love it, but always get to a point in a campaign where it starts crashing out if I engage in a large scale battle...script error of some sort.

Will look forward to this when I ca nsee it.

It's a completely new mod, not an update of RS1.5.

Just a few images of some of the legions in action:

Images look amazing. Will need a new computer to handle the graphics I imagine.

If you can handle RS1.5 you should be able to handle RSII

Awesome! first chance I'm going to get:

Battle of the Thames, Medway, Mons Graupius, Tapae, Sarmizegethusa, Gaugamela, Pharsalus, Philippi and Cannae (as the Romans, ofcourse). - Only problem is I can't have my Batavians flank the enemy by swimming over the river because I havn't got BI...yet Big Grin

Edit: Everything is so well done its almost unbelieveable :S I like the way the Dacians are done too. But I can't get over how good the Romans look...these many months of work have really paied off! Have you any pictures of the Germans?

Do the Romans just go up to the Dacian wars equipment-wise or later?

Can you play RS with BI? i know I have an Icon downloaded, but have only been able to play the RS components the same as when I put in RTW disc and play from the regular RS Icon?
What is the difference?

I'm not sure myself as I don't have BI (not anymore anyway - it broke, so I had to buy the standard RTW again), but I'm sure you could raise it on this forum: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthre ... 5&page=653

Or I could as it for you if you don't want to make an account on there.

Yes, you can. The AI in BI is better, and in Alexander it's better than in BI. (however that is disputed)

Confusedhock: Who made those? Whoever did should take up film-making, those were the most intense sequences of Roman combat I've seen, and I've seen almost every Roman movie out there!
