Hadrian\'s Wall, in the days of the Romans...

Again, borrowed this book from my neighbhour...looks pretty good, nice illustrations and some good pics of the actual wall.<br>

Authors are Ronald Embleton and Frank Graham, Published by Frank Graham, 1984 ISBN - 0 85983 177 9<br>

Yeah, that's a good one. It deals quite well with the more recent history of the Wall, "archeological" surveys of it in the 18th and 19th centuries, various stories and myths associated with the sites, etc. Shows lots of artifacts found along the Wall. Also has two of my favorite Embleton illustrations: one is a condemned soldier being stoned to death against a wall by his buddies; the other is a unit entrenching in a downpour--THOSE guys look miserable!<br>
