Capricorn help from Tegimen
#1
I have seen some pictures of an original tegimen where two of the decorative capricorns have been reconstructed for a museum. The same is apparent in Van Driel's article where the line drawings of the capricorns mirrors the museum reconsturction mentioned above.

My question is, what is that straight piece (shaft) coming out of the back of the capricorn that ends in a ball like shape?

Any suggestions or better depictions.

I would like to put that capricorn on a a tegimen I am reconstructing.

Cezary,

I know of the picture you posted and cannot understand what that is. In Van Driels article, she draws it as a very skinny line and then a ball. It almost looks like a balloon tied to a string.

Anyway, thank you very much for your help. Those pictures are excellent and will be greatly helpful. I really appreciate it.

How large did you make your capricorns so they fit onto the scutum.
