Cohorts of Britons?
#1
I may appear a bit dim (ok, i WILL appear a bit dim,) but I have read conflicting lists of possible cohorts of Britons. One list gives about four units, another six (names differ in the two lists,) yet another says only two.

Can anyone say with a degree of certainty how many units and their names, dates etc? Where would I find a definitive list?
The complete Roman Army (by Adrian Goldsworthy) seems a good list but where does the original evidence come from? Is it conjecture?

Please indulge me, I am after all only a humble Gregalis (animal keeper)

That would be a wonderful experience, especially the Sunday programme (Hadrians Wall being a particularly frequent spot for me to be found lurking in) as a friend and I are attempting to visit the entire remaining Wall.

Unfortunately we both work on Sundays and that particular Saturday is already booked. Boo, Hiss!!! Cry

Life just aint fair sometimes is it?

Just curious, but what is an alsinstructor?
Visne partem mei capere? Comminus agamus! * Me semper rogo, Quid faceret Iulius Caesar? * Confidence is a good thing! Overconfidence is too much of a good thing.

Actually it is a medical thing, Advanced Life Support Instructor. I teach all sorts of medical staff how to use life support in the field such as Defibrillators (the zappy things you see on casualty) and the like so they can at least get the patient to hospital alive.... and no, it's NOT anything to do with Red Cross or St. John Ambulance, perfectly good organisations in their own right but I am a properly trained PROFESSIONAL..... OOH nurse, the MEDS!!! You've got me started now

Perhaps I could transfer from Gregalis to Medicus? :?:
