Dagged edge on Auxiliary mail

does anyone know the earliest reference for Auxiliary mail with dagged edges IE triangular edges. Is Trajans column the earliest reference?

As far as I know, yes Trajanic monuments are the earliest representations of dagged mail. See also this image from the Great Trajanic Frieze, which may once have decorated Trajan's forum.
