\"The Gods of Battle\" published
#1
Hi, my book "The Gods of Battle" has now been published, and is available at all the usual outlets. The publishers, Pen & Sword Books, rate it one of their best sellers. It covers the latest information on arms, equipment, apparel and armour in south-eastern Europe from 1500 BC to 500 AD. Although it focuses on the Thracians, much of what is included applies to other armies (eg the Iphicratean reforms, why use a sling, how did cavalry function, types of fortifications, how do you skirmish with a long spear, changes in cavalry and infantry arms and armour) and there is a special Roman section.

Hi Sitalkes/Christopher

May I offer you my heartiest congratulations on a most excellent text. I've been operating using the good but slender Osprey text, and the Fol book from about 25 years ago. Your book couldn't have come at a more opportune time, when I was just finishing my new book on Spartacus. It's a great, in-depth, well-written read, and I recommend every interested RATer to buy a copy asap.

Best wishes with its sales!
