Great work on such a small canvas! I wish I had gone into painting deeper.
The paint as well must be difficult to work with out in the elements, I imagine the ancient artisit must have worked in studios mostly!?

Also the weather they worked under would have been warmer! They would have prepared their pigments in the studio for sure otherwise the wind would blow the precious powder to the four winds.
