Hi Folks,

This week I launched a free website to showcase my growing egg tempera work:

http://www.sillicusart.com

Have a look, if nothing else it proves that anyone can create and publish a website to let the rest of the world out there know you exist!!!

Comments on content and navigation welcome

I like the layout of your site. It's streamlined, not cluttered with stuff I don't need to see. As my buddy would have remarked..."no filler, all killer". The site feels refreshing...I'm guessing because of the colour in the backround. Good choice.

BTW - I love the flower painting on page 5...

I started painting on hessian covered shields, but hessian is quite coarse so I used acrylics (the Gorgon head shield in the photo) to get used to the texture and shape. The shield on the right is egg tempera, but this is taking longer because of the hessian. So next time I paint a shield for display it'll be muslin covered with rabbit skin glue and gesso ground for smoothness.

I'm currently doing an egg tempera class with an art restorer and painter to re-learn facts that I thought I knew!!!
