Birthday of Rome parade on the 22th of April 2012

At Legio XXX Vlpia Traiana Victrix from Rome we have 2 complete spare legionary armors available for 2 men who are interested to march the parade with us. Conditions: Train with us on Saturday the 21st at our camp near Rome and bring you own sub-armalis or padding for your shoulders. Note: Our lorica segmentata are medium size – manufactured by us so a little bit heavier than the commercial type.

Just to be practical: would insurance be needed?

Our more or less 50 Leg.xxx members are not insured by our legion to walk the parade. The persons which are interested to come and join the parade are free to organise their own travel insurence.

Well, for all interested, I was lucky to get there this year, and march with the
II AVG, and met some good people from here and elsewhere, involved in re-enacting.
Some of participants were the usual, but there were also some very good groups on display,
not least being Rado and his brother and their group, plus there was also a good Republican group.
To say nothing of the Romanian Dancing Troupe.... 8) :grin:
