What would be a good Generic Ancient shoe?

Looking for a good durable ancient shoe design that would be good for Allies and Enemies
Celts Germans Dacians. Mostly interested in something so the Iceni could be well shod for the Clash of Iron event next March.

Your standard "bog" shoe works. Any number of patterns available through a casual google search

A carbatina of one variant or another was worn all over Europe for several centuries.

Carbatina are very easy to make. Took me a few hours start to finish. Only problem is it is a single piece of leather for the upper and sole so not sure how "durable" it will be over the long term.

Sometimes, we have taken a leather sole and grooved and stitched it on the bottom side, to help keep the rocks, stickers, and thorns from getting to the feet. That is probably not authentic, but in Texas, it matters a lot. Heck, some of the grass down here has sharp edges, and we don't need to talk about the cacti.... :mad: :roll:

Celtic, gallic shoes or germanic shoes? Dacian's shoes i don't know how they were look like. Warrior's shoes or civilian's shoes?
