Greetings,
I saw these guys at York on the Sunday, in one word - incredible Tongue .
First a very interesting display of training, including exercies, being walked over, wrestling and then actual weapon use and fighting technques.
The fighting display itself was totally amazing, bearing in mind this was on concrete paving, wrestling throws were in use, along with body blows and being battered with shields, which were also thrown - aside from the actual fighting techniques which were both skillful and ferocius and left me wondering how they still had all their limbs.
A very realistic display and I could see just how the Gladiators were loved so much, although i would not give the thumbs down to anyone....!

Salvete collegium,
i visit your page now since over a year and a half, and just judged by the videos on your page you made a good development in task of equipment and your show is still impressiv.
I like the hoplit, even hes not historical.
Sad that you are that far from us, but perhaps theres a chance to meet in future.

Ave!

In this springtime we focused more on our new equipments. We tried to find mosaics, statues etc. to make as authentic armours and weapons as possible. So new pictures soon. But in Pula(Croatia) in the first weekend of June you can find us in the Amphitheatre. As later in Germany and England as well.

We still have some free places in out training camp for this year.
If you want to join, please feel free to contact me anytime.
More onformation about the camp

Ave!

Probably you are right. But as we know that
- in some fight the roman had fighters from all over the Emperium
- they had historical fights in the arena
- we try to do not just small local games, but events which could be the real munus. the real huge all day event. the big spctacular gladiator fights.
- the hoplite and the legonary in full armor was the heavy trooper at their age...

we tought that the proper hoplite could fight against legion style (e.g. secutor) gladiators. As I read they did fight on the battle fields.
And we tried it. it works.
When you have 2 guys with more then 30 kg of metal each, with great stamina and skills, then you have a great fight...
